The Downtown area also has a number of wonderful dining options, from coffee and sandwiches to steaks, authentic Mexican food, Gilroy garlic favorites, and much more.
BUILDING A BETTER DOWNTOWN: Due to the Gourmet Alley renovation project, you may encounter some traffic delays or parking shortages when you visit downtown Gilroy. We appreciate your patience as we build a better Gilroy—and hope you will come back again to check it out once all the construction is complete!

Take a Stroll Back in Time
The Gilroy Historic Paseo is a pathway that conveniently connects the shops and restaurants on Monterey Street with adjacent free parking lots. As you stroll through the Paseo, take a moment to look at the historic murals and interpretative panels to learn more about the city’s storied past, from the Early Settlers and roots of Agriculture through The Cowboy Era, the growth of Commerce and Hospitality, and of course, Gilroy’s long love affair with Garlic. (Located on Monterey Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets in downtown Gilroy)
