O.D.’s Kitchen

One of Gilroy’s not-so-secret anymore favorite local breakfast places is O.D.’s Kitchen in downtown Gilroy. They are well-known for their “Kitchen Sink”–a mixture of fried potatoes with diced ham, bell peppers, onions, sauteed together cheddar cheese and 2 eggs on top, with a choice of toast. For a twist on the “Kitchen Sink,” try the “Rosebud,” which is the “Kitchen Sink” with a diced biscuit mixed in and smothered in O.D.’s homemade gravy. If you can’t handle a whole serving of either of those, you can order a “1/2 Kitchen Sink” or a “1/2 Rosebud.” If you want to go big or go home, opt for the “F.B.D.”–a “Kitchen Sink” with a diced biscuit and a country fried steak, all smothered in their gravy.
