Celebrate the Holidays in Gilroy: Santa Sightings, Festive Events, and Seasonal Fun

Ring in the holidays in Gilroy as Santa Claus makes his rounds at our town’s heartwarming winter celebrations. Revel in the holiday magic at North Pole Nights at Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park and our Holiday Festival and Parade in downtown Gilroy.

Kick Off the Season at North Pole Nights at Gilroy Gardens

Santa’s sleigh will touch down first at Gilroy Gardens on Nov. 28, where a glittering winter wonderland awaits you. Gilroy Gardens, our horticultural amusement park, is home to the world-famous Circus Trees and more than 40 rides and attractions. Join in the merrymaking with Santa and his friends at North Pole Village during North Pole Nights for select dates through Dec. 31.

This extraordinary experience features jolly characters, fun live shows, festive food and drinks, and Santa’s Workshop. Delight in twinkling light displays throughout the park, including the 100-foot-long North Pole animated musical tunnel with synchronized holiday music and lights. Mark the festive occasion with fun throughout the park, including a photo and visit with Santa at Santa’s Workshop, ice skating under the stars, and mailing a Christmas wish to Santa at the North Pole Post Office.

The park also will host a special New Year’s Eve celebration and DJ Dance Party ending with a fireworks show at midnight.

Visit Santa’s Farmhouse Faire at LJB Farms

Santa’s next visit will be Dec. 6, popping up at Santa’s Farmhouse Faire hosted at LJB Farms from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shop local vendors, enjoy sweet treats, and capture photos with Santa!

Experience the Downtown Gilroy Holiday Festival and Parade

Later that day, experience the magic of an old-fashioned holiday at our free, family-friendly Downtown Gilroy Holiday Festival and Parade in the heart of downtown Gilroy, beginning at 3 p.m. Your children won’t want to miss visiting with Santa at Santa’s Village at Keller Williams or witnessing the mischievous antics of the Grinch in Grinchville.

Enjoy the enchanting sights and sounds of the season with performances by local acts on two stages as you take in the festive window displays of downtown storefronts. Savor holiday goodies and discover hidden gems along the Trail of Treats hosted by our downtown merchants and vendors, visit furry friends at the petting zoo, and capture special moments with festive photo ops. The streets will be filled with cheer as dazzling floats make their way through downtown, starting at 5 p.m. and ending with the lighting of our beautiful holiday tree.
