The Gilroy Garlic Festival Association will host a sumptuous dinner, “A Blossoming Affair — Dinner in the Cherry Orchard,” on Saturday, August 19, at a picturesque location in Gilroy.
Tickets are now on sale for the dinner, which will feature a hosted bar, passed appetizers of grilled mini lamb chops, fig/brie crostini, and bacon-wrapped shrimp, and a dinner of mixed greens salad, fresh watermelon, and feta dressed with a balsamic vinaigrette; baseball-cut top sirloin and jumbo prawn skewers; grilled vegetables, red skinned garlic mashed potatoes, and eggplant parmesan. That will be topped off with a dessert of warm cherry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.
Proceeds benefit local school groups, charities, and non-profit organizations in and around Gilroy.
