Some local growers even offer behind-the-scenes tours, farm-to-table dinners, and other amazing experiences that honor our area’s rich agricultural legacy. These tours provide a unique perspective on how we grow our food—and how we can sustain our planet for the future.

Agriculture Tours
During your private guided tour at Lion Ranch Vineyards & Winery, you'll meet with the winemaker/owners to learn about their sustainable farming practices, the life cycle of the vine, and how the vineyard is treated as an ecosystem as a whole. These vineyard practices require minimal interventions, which contributes to the full expression of their Rhone-style wines. Conclude your tour with a wine tasting and get some bottles to take home with you! Please email ahead to schedule your tour. Groups of 2-10 welcome; 21 and over only for wine tasting. Tours are weather-dependent. Sturdy shoes advised.
Come join the winemakers or owner for an immersive experience at Moose Mountain Vineyards. Take a walk or ride through our estate, which boasts 20 different grape varietals, an avocado orchard, and an abundance of other fruits and vegetables. Learn about our dedicated efforts to enhance our estate through sustainable and regenerative farming practices. Then, savor a carefully crafted pairing of delicious plant-based snacks—or a meal, upon request—with our Bordeaux-styled wines. Consider scheduling your visit for later in the day to wind down with a beautiful sunset overlooking the valley. Tastings are available for guests 21 and older. Farmstands
Casa de Fruta started out as a roadside fruit stand and today welcomes more than 2 million travelers from around the world each year. Come to the “Casa” to pick up some fresh-from-the-orchard produce, dine at the 24-hour restaurant, sample award-winning wines from Zanger Vineyards, shop for unique gifts, or even stay a few nights at the RV park.
Garlic gadgets, cookbooks, posters and much more; numerous hot pepper sauces to choose from.
Garlic World is a unique combination of fruit stand, gourmet food store, and gift shop. The store’s specialty is garlic (in every way, shape and form imaginable), but you can also find fresh produce, dried fruits, nuts, honey, preserves, Gilroy wines, gifts, and cookbooks.
This popular roadside farm stand at the corner of Masten Avenue and Santa Teresa Blvd. has become the lifeblood for the Bonino family’s agricultural operation. Locals make regular stops for fresh-from-the-field corn, juicy tomatoes, colorful peppers, squash, strawberries, firewood, and more. Open from late March through Christmas Eve.
The R & S Gilroy Farmers Market is held on Saturdays from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Gilroy Premium Outlets parking lot behind In-N-Out Burger. During harvest season you’ll find fresh cherries, strawberries, apricots, plums, corn, and more at local fruit stands throughout Gilroy and surrounding communities. It just doesn’t get any fresher than this!
"Terra Amico" is Italian for "friend of the earth," and Terra Amico Farms owners Joe and Lisa Raineri live up to the name by using sustainable and regenerative practices to produce juicy, delicious organic heirloom tomatoes on their 5-acre farm. Terra Amico hosts annual Farm-to-Table Dinner events and U-Pick Tomato Days every summer—and even offers private farm tours for small groups by appointment.
