Wine Tasting Weekend

Did you know that Gilroy is one of California’s oldest premium wine-growing regions? Come discover award-winning wines, scenic vineyards, and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere at over 30 wineries and tasting rooms along the Santa Clara Valley Wine Trail.

Day One

Start your journey at the California Welcome Center Gilroy, where you can pick up a copy of the Wine Trail Map and coupons for free wine tasting at selected wineries.

While you’re there, shop for souvenir Gilroy wine glasses or a wine bag so you can carry home bottles of your favorite finds.

Head out to Hecker Pass Highway to sample wines at Solis Winery, Fortino Winery, Sarah’s Vineyard, and Hecker Pass Winery, all conveniently located within a mile of each other.

Unwind in a comfortable hotel room so you can continue your tasting tour in the morning!

Day Two

Continue your wine tour at Kirigin Cellars, which has been in the valley since 1916. Be sure to check out the sweeping views of the grassy fields outside the historic tasting room.

Stop by Clos La Chance to enjoy the grand, gorgeous views—and groove to live music in the grove.

Head to the east side of town for a visit to Satori Cellars, which has bocce courts and a casual, low-key neighborhood vibe.

So many wineries, so little time! With over 30 wineries located in and around Gilroy, you probably can’t see them all in one trip. Plan to come back another time to revisit your favorites and discover some new ones as well!
